they took your brain
and wrapped it in silk
and fed it milk
from a loving queen

and you went mad

they assured you it was a temporary condition
you were a patient in recovery

they would watch you

after all, grasping the universe all at once
was a shock to the system

they would look after you
forever

they would train you to merge
find light in the darkness
you would discover other humans suckling there
your new brothers and sisters
you would know for the first time the queen neocortex
shuttling through blazing corridors

thus spake a used car salesman of the mind

  1. brad says:

Frightening (but had to chuckle anyway). Sounds like the start of a good screenplay.

  2. From Québec says:

Some people use their imagination to enhance humanity.
Some use it to depreciate and enslave people.

Kurzweil wants us to cross over into the Twilight Zone. A world of programmed robots. The “Singularity”, which is just another word for collective consciensnous.

Of course, every new technology has a good side and can help make a better life. But it also has a dark side to make your life miserable.

    For instance:

    – Internet is a real good technology and that is why it became so popular and indispensable. Still, through internet, governments can spy on you and you lose all your privacy and freedoms
    .
    – Cell phones, I Pads and all the other so-called “Smart” gadgets, are very useful. But they are all Wi-Fi and they will give you cancer.

    – Nuclear technology can be used for medical diagnostics with X-Rays, scanners, it can be used to generate electricity, but it also creates deadly bombs that could wipe this planet out of the universe.

    – Etc.

So, Thanks, but No Thanks. I’ll keep my brain, you can keep the change for yourself.

Those transhumanists, hate humans so much, that their madness has no bound and will never end, until humans wake up and stand-up to their tyranny.

  3. Michael Burns says:

    “To watch, the watcher…watching.
    Contemplate.
    That I know him…have always known…
This is not the first time, that he and me have spake like this, face front and forward.
And it always ends with a impasse and the bloodletting from both mingled and seeped into the wet soil on a million battlefields.
    On a thousand worlds…
and from a long, long time ago.”

    -Michael Burns

“This prodigious event is still on its way, still wandering; it has not yet reached the ears of men. Lightning and thunder require time, the light of the stars requires time, deeds, though done, still require time to be seen and heard. This deed is still more distant from them than the most distant stars—and yet they have done it themselves.” – Nietzsche
