Separating yourself from doom and gloom

Seeing through a mountain of lies and realizing what is happening on this planet does not equal surrender; nor does it equal living inside a bubble of doom.
I should know. For more than 30 years, I’ve been relentlessly exposing the lies of great institutions and societies. I could say, “Well, I’ve earned my stripes as an eternal cynic. All human activity is destined to fail.”
But I’m not that person. I never have been.
Nor do I walk around with a glazed grin on my face, fantasizing about Disneyesque rainbows and aliens 100000 light years away who will come and save us.
Under any and all conditions that have ever existed on this planet, an individual human being has always had the opportunity to make a choice: sink into a swamp of despair, or make things better.
And there are numerous examples of men and women, living in far, far worse situations than you or I, who have made the latter choice, against all odds.
Understanding the depth of corruption that exists on planet Earth is supposed to be a prelude to action. It is supposed to be a confirmation of what you have long suspected.
“All right. Good. Now I see that I was right all along. My perception is untainted. I don’t have to live in the middle ground of doubt anymore. Now I know. And now I can do something. Unless I want to weave tales about how nothing can be done and nothing works; unless I want to opt for creating hopelessness.”
But oh, wait a minute. There are untold numbers of people who, when it comes to doing something, say, “I don’t know. What can we do? How can we win? I don’t have any answers.”
This is a confession that something is missing from the arsenal of the individual.
This speaks to a losing mode of thinking that accepts only standard responses to problems—and finding those responses insufficient, drops back into despair.
“I can only see A,B,C,D, and E as possible reactions to what is happening in this world, and those reactions are futile. So I’m done. That’s it.”
And for that, a gold star should be awarded?
No, I’m afraid not.
The truth is, when most people try to access their imaginations, they actually stare at what other people have proposed as solutions instead. They make that error. They find no other options.
“Look, I want to run. I want to run like the wind. But I can only use other people’s legs to do that, which obviously won’t work, so I can’t run. End of story.”
Another version of that is: “Every solution that can be invented has already been invented. So why should I try or care?”
Beautiful.
That’s like an artist saying, “Every painting that could be painted has already been painted. So this is the end of the line.”
There is no end of the line.

“There is no end of the line” (Jon).
I like that. I obsess with never endings Always did and always will.
I cannot imagine endings. Endings make no sense to me. Endings would be an insult to life itself. More than an insult, it would be an impossible challenge.
Everything is possible because nothing ever stays the same.
@ the Quebec chick
Your an opportunist, and a woman.
Soap operas will make your teeth rot.
And they are bad for your eye sight.
Do you ever see any old soap opera watchers with out glasses….hmm?
Excellent post. The subject matter really hit home with me. No external sources can force us to be happy or sad, that comes from within.
So….what are ya saying.
You don’t like my poetry….fine no more poems for you!
From now on I am the poem-nazi.
A guy try’s to put a new twist on an old story, aND practice his latin, being an ole altar boy an all ….everybodies a freakin critic.
Doom and gloom….really.

Some of your short stories are a little….syrupy ya know.
Disappearing agents, and Popes talking to god.
Artists caught in basements in dark cities, questioned by agents….don’t ya think that’s a little….’gloomy’.
Hey! I’m getting addicted to poems…lol
But, I like them to rhyme. It’s more fun and challenging.

Doom and Gloom:
Why should we live in doom and gloom
When everything is possible
Remember the very first hot air balloon
It was hardly inconceivable
But, it did happen one sunny afternoon
Since then, although incredible
Astronauts, have walked on the moon
Humans are truly unstoppable
@ quebec
How do you know astronauts walked on the moon?
Did they invite you along, did you get to go for the ridea. Hmmm…ooooorrrrr…did ya see it on a television while it was interrupting your soaps opera…hmm.
News Break:
“Excuse us ladies and gentlemen, we apologize for this interruption of this exciting episode of the ‘Young and Brestless’.
It has come to our office at news four. That the United States of America has been the first nation to Land a man safely on the moon…folks.
At 9:29 and 39 second, astronaut, Captain Neil Armstrong. And we picked that name because we wanted a man with strong arms to the first moonwalker.
Captain Neil stepped onto the moon and exclaimed.
“ONE SMALL STEP FOR MAN, ONE GIANT LEAP FOR MANKIND. And there you have it folks. We have landed on the moon.
Now, back to our regularly scheduled program.”
Come on Michael! I hope your are just kidding.
Otherwise, it’s people like you, that discredit the REAL Conspiracy theories.
Please make serious rechearch on the subject.
You seem to believe things, like: Alex Jones is control opposition”…lol… or, the moon landing is a hoax. Give me a break!
What I’m I going to do with you Michael?
Do you know how neccessary it was for the Americans to beat out, the first step made into space by the Russians?
We were in a cold war, war on all fronts, especially space. Sputnik, the first major step to the domination of space scared the shit out of the Americans.
On one point it mean first knowledge.
Secondly it meant the possibility of nukes in space.
Thirdly it represented global dominance in satellite technologies.
You don’t realize how important Sputnik was Q.
The Dulles CIA establishment saw it as a direct threat to American, why do you think the rush.
They (Neil and the boys) made into orbit….but they never went to the moon.
Do you know what the Van Allen belts are?
How did we go past them?
It has only been in recent times that we understand how deadly that radiation really is.
I have more technological power in my hands typing this post that supposedly went to the moon.
The moon landing if you do the research is a complete, and I am not talking about conspiracy sites. It is a complete hoax.
@ Quebec
Something for you to watch.
….enjoy!
Yes, I have seen houndred of these not to bright people’s videos.
Not one ever convinced me.
But, you should take a look at this video below. As an artist, you could learn something about perspective, shadows lights, etc.

“Do you know what the Van Allen belts are?
How did we go past them? (Michael)
———————————————–
“”The recent Fox TV show, which I saw, is an ingenious and entertaining assemblage of nonsense. The claim that radiation exposure during the Apollo missions would have been fatal to the astronauts is only one example of such nonsense.” — Dr. James Van Allen
Travelling through the belts one would be exposed to greater than 100 rem for hours.
Bleeding of organs would occur.
The amount of lead necessary to protect astronauts would be impossibly thick.
The belts are charged like batteries through solar radiation being caught in the electromagnetic field.
For instance 3600 watts per sq/m of solar radiation hit the outside of the atmosphere….5.6 kilometers above your head.
That has been filtered through all the belts.
The solar flare radiation and coronal mass ejection striking the belts is beyond imagination….believe what you wish.
I have nothing to gain in this at all.
This a prison planet.
The inner belt contains high concentrations of electrons in the range of hundreds of keV and energetic protons with energies exceeding 100 MeV, trapped by the strong (relative to the outer belts) magnetic fields in the region
The outer belt consists mainly of high energy (0.1–10 MeV) electrons trapped by the Earth’s magnetosphere. It is almost toroidal in shape, extending from an altitude of about three to ten Earth radii (RE) or 13,000 to 60,000 kilometres (8,100 to 37,300 mi) above the Earth’s surface. Its greatest intensity is usually around 4–5 RE.

Can’t help to chime in on this one.
Here’s some convincing evidence that we landed on moon:
“Scientists camera find 5 flags on the moon:”
http://usatoday30.usatoday.com/tech/science/space/story/2012-07-31/flags-moon-apollo/56613308/1?fullsite=true
The Lunar Reconnaissance Orbitor in 2012 spotted 5 of the planted flags, as well as Lunar Rover tire tracks, discarded back packs, foot prints, etc.
In addition, Wikipedia has some interesting info on the Soviet Union tracking each Apollo mission from their Space Transmission Corps (STC).
I could only imagine that if all the Apollo missions only orbited the Earth for several days before re-entry, the Soviets wouldn’t have hesitated to embarrass the Nixon administration with a bogus landing on the moon.
Lastly, don’t you think that when Armstrong was on his death bed after his complications from bypass surgery in 2012, he would have given a dying declaration that his mission was faked?
Stuff to consider for an intelligent man ☺
Michael,
This is my last post on the subject.
if you really want some REAL informations, go to the link below.
You will find great articles and videos about this subject on the site.
It will clearly debunk all the conspiracy theories about the “Flag”, the “Van Allen Belt”, etc.
Now, if you want to stick with your false Conspiracy theory, it’s up to you.
Go ahead and don’t read it and do not watch the videos.
I don’t have a dog in that fight.
If you like your theory, you can keep your theory.
I took the time to post this, nut just for you, but for everyone else who is reading comments on this site.

@ Jacobite
A fox once craftily induced a wolf to go and join the Jews in their Sabbath preparations and share in their festivities. On his appearing in their midst the Jews fell upon him with sticks and beat him. He therefore came back determined to kill the fox. But the latter pleaded: ‘It is no fault of mine that you were beaten, but they have a grudge against your father who once helped them in preparing their banquet and then consumed all the choice bits.’ ‘And was I beaten for the wrong done by my father?’ cried the indignant wolf. ‘Yes,’ replied the fox, ‘the fathers have eaten sour grapes and the children’s teeth are set on edge. However,’ he continued, ‘come with me and I will supply you with abundant food. He led him to a well which had a beam across it from either end of which hung a rope with a bucket attached. The fox entered the upper bucket and descended into the well whilst the lower one was drawn up. ‘Where are you going?’ asked the wolf. The fox, pointing to the cheese-like reflection of the moon, replied: ‘Here is plenty of meat and cheese; get into the other bucket and come down at once.’ The wolf did so, and as he descended, the fox was drawn up. ‘And how am I to get out?’ demanded the wolf. ‘Ah’ said the fox ‘the righteous is delivered out of trouble and the wicked cometh in in his stead. Is it not written, Just balances, just weights’? -Rashi

I’m glad you did. Thank you!
It is so important to debunk FALSE conspiracy theories, because they discredit the REAL conspiracy theories.
Jon, as usual, useful insights presented very well, thank you. – It would have been nice to say the same of the commentators comments (thus far). I am glad cynicism has not overtaken you. I still vacillate. It’s on my ‘To Imagine’ list. 🙂 Thank God (aka, me) I have [my] Merlin (he just rolled his eyes when I read the comments out loud) and [my] small band of other created companions to converse with.
Do I come over and throw rocks at your glass house….hmmm…and you have a God complex?….hmm….and you talk to a dead wzard….hmmm….and other small, imaginary people….hmmm.
No poems for you either.
