Magic is nothing more and nothing less than imagination.
Magic occurs when imagination takes this reality for a ride.
Magic eventually comes to the conclusion that imagination creates reality. Any reality. And therefore, one universe, indivisible, is an illusion, a way of trapping Self.
What began as the physical universe, a brilliant work of art, ends up as a psychic straitjacket, a mental ward in which the inmates strive for normalcy. Those who fail at even this are labeled and shunted into a special section of the ward.
But the result of imagination, if pursued and deployed long enough and intensely enough, is:
Consensus reality begins to organize itself around you, rather than you organizing yourself around it.
There are various names and labels used to describe this state of affairs, but none of them catches the sensation of it.
Magic is one of those labels.
What I’m describing here isn’t some snap-of-the-fingers trick of manifestation; it’s a life lived.
The old alchemists were working in this area. They were striving for the transformation of consciousness. In true alchemy, one’s past, one’s experience, one’s conflicts all become fuel for the fire of creating new realities. Taken along certain lines, this is called art.
One universe, one logic, one Continuum, one role in that Continuum, one all-embracing commitment to that role, one avenue of perception…this is the delusion.
Freeing one’s self, living through and by imagination, is not a mass movement. It’s a choice taken by one person. It’s a new and unique road for each person.
Societies and civilizations are organized around some concept of the common good. The concept always deteriorates, and this is because it is deployed to lower the ceiling on individual power rather than raise it.
“Be less than you are, then we can all come together in a common cause.”
Breaking out of this involves reasserting the power of imagination to invent new and novel realities.
Under a variety of names, this is art.
In 1961, when I began writing and painting in earnest, I had a conversation with the extraordinary healer, Richard Jenkins, whom I write about in my book, The Secret Behind Secret Societies. This is my note from that time about what Richard told me:
“Paint what you want to, no matter what anyone else says. You may not always know what you want to create, but that’s good. Keep working, keep painting. You’ll find your way. You’ll invent something new, something unique, if you don’t give in. You’ll see everything in a new light. People are afraid they have far more power than they want to discover. They’re afraid they’ll find out something tremendous about themselves…”
Nothing I’ve experienced in the 60 years since then has diminished what Richard said to me.

“We are only limited by our inability to imagine, in other words; The perception of our own world experience is shaped by what we can perceive; The way to get a better understanding of what is possible, is by being open to, and introducing new ideas into our personal cosmos (world view).”

“… imagination creates reality…. one universe, indivisible, is an illusion, a way of trapping Self. What began as the physical universe, a brilliant work of art, ends up as a psychic straitjacket…”
Imagination creates reality. And Consciousness creates Imagination.
Consciousness is the unlimited domicile of (our) Being-ness. Consciousness creates anything and everything – including our own limitations.
We accept the ‘reality’ of limitation because we create (erect) them and then we believe in (sustain) those walls of limitation. That’s why some people never get out of their prison. They keep those prison walls up and then refuse to believe that They are their own jailers.
We are always free. We are always creating. We are always using (or misusing) our Imagination. We can’t help but create. We never stop creating for a moment.
It’s when we forget who We and what We are that we begin to get into trouble.
People are always trying to put limits on us. The only way this ever works is when we agree with them.
“Magic is nothing more and nothing less than imagination.”
That works for the naïve and ignorant multitude. You tell that to an experienced occult practitioner of some form of magic(k) like western ritual orders and they will laugh at you because it’s more than using ones imagination. It’s calling on unseen entities through the use of key words, phrases and intentions. It takes practice and, like famous ritual occult practitioners of ages past, has repercussions. Causality has repercussions or effects.
There are so many well known occult practices. I would think you’d consult with some Thelemite or Wiccan or somebody before declaring a dangerous lie. Yes, magic is dangerous when trying to impose ones will on another. The dark occult derelicts who’ve infiltrated every nook and cranny of modern life think they are immune but they are not.
Have you ever practiced an occult ritual or have been the target of occult ritual practices? The two almost go hand in hand because when you practice ritual magic(k), you become known to unseen entities.
In this time of occult rituals like mask wearing, distancing, hand washing and lockdowns, mentioning something like the above quote makes me angry. Anyone who doubts what I’m saying should look up things like the LBPR, the middle pillar ritual, Enochian Vision magick, Dr John Dee (and his sidekick, Edward Kelly), Aleister Crowley, Thelema, the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn, Israel Regardie, MacGregor Mathers, Eliphus Levi, CHAOS magick etc etc etc, then tell me if magic(k) is nothing more than imagination.
“People are afraid they have far more power than they want to discover. They’re afraid they’ll find out something tremendous about themselves…”
Depends on who wants such power.
We all know unbridled powers in the hands of control-freak WEF/WHO globalists and their puppet government leaders and institutions have given us a preliminary taste of what worldwide totalitarianism looks like.
When creating new realities to spin your magic, you have to assume the role of the all powerful creator, IE you must have no uncertain rules and boundaries for your game.
Otherwise, everything within will lead ultimately into chaos.
Exactly what is happening now on planet Earth.
No absolute morals and no harmonic integration.
Where WW3 is only a small price to pay for the absolute domination of the US Democrat Party.
Whose military/financial power is more mighty, thus enacts the right to set their own one-sided private agenda for the rest of the world, and for a biased history and economies in favor of the victors.
Instead of an always provable, logically-sound, philosophical/moral/ethical/legal framework that unfailingly works benevolently for the growth and peace of humanity.
However, this undertaking is more huge in scope than the pope’s ecumenical movement.
This would have to align all the powers congregated by Big Gov, Big Religion, Big Tech, Big Bank, Big Pharma, Big Media, Big Military, Big Intelligence, Big Biz, Big Courts, etc into a straight and narrow path that works well into the structure of a responsible, peaceful, spiritually attuned, and materially conserving yet enriching civilization that promotes ever greater expressions of individual freedom that do not violate any foundational rules.
That’s the key. Freedom is not free. The cost is the upkeeping of the basic/intermediate/advanced rules.
The prize is unbounded possibilities of expansion – in joy, well-being and happiness, in every facet of life – that doesn’t turn powerful humans into control-freaks, bullies, abusers and murderers.
Let people go free, each with an owned solid understanding of the most basic moral/ethical/legal requirements of their life, in order to venture further into more complex achievements at any greater scale.
You need to pass a driving test.
There’s no reason not to pass a life test, at various stages of life, in order to use it well and be a properly licensed human – with rightful responsibilities and privileges.
That would be my “magical” world.
