Breaking Through: Forgotten Languages

“It’s been centuries since people cared about their deepest, most personal, unique, non-literal thoughts. Those thoughts have all but faded away in the glare of group socialization. But those untranslatable thoughts make up the core of inspiration and the meaning of individual creation. They resist representation in languages that demand serial syntax and subject-verb-object relationships. I’m not just talking about the disappearance of the individual. I’m talking about the disappearance of what makes the individual get up in the morning or come back to this world, for incarnation after incarnation, beyond anything he can articulate, because he is married to languages that are carved out to exclude his oceanic impulses…” (The Magician Awakes, Jon Rappoport)
Imagine, if you would, some extended core expression that you would want to communicate to another living being. Something that carries with it, somehow, vital sensations and thoughts that embody your deep, very deep feelings…but more than those feelings; aspirations as well; glorious nighttime dreams…
You want this communication to do far more than represent your sensations. You want to deliver those sensations directly.
You would discover that your communication exceeds the constraints of language.
Language, with its rules of syntax, its definitions of words wouldn’t be able to carry the freight. Language would distort the expression.
Language would order it when order isn’t what you need. Language would force it into containers and categories and associations that change it, compress it, dampen it, remove its very specific vividness.
However, imagine there were once languages whose basis was different.
Languages of great impact.
Languages of great fluidity.
Languages whose “words” could, for example, instantaneously convey the sensation of flying.
Imagine, if you would, that you were using this language with other people who knew it as well as you did.
The whole level of communication would transform. The opportunities for understanding would expand hugely.
Aspects of consciousness formerly walled off by the restraints of ordinary language would come to the fore.
The release of pent-up energy would be titanic.
The rediscovery of what was lost would change lives in astonishing ways.
Knowing that you could transmit the most hidden and vital and majestic territories of self to others, at the drop of a hat, would bring a confidence beyond belief.
No machine, this. No system, this.
Instead, life-force to the nth power.
The end of lifetimes of frustration.
Vast relief.
And a remembering of what can be.
Such a breakthrough might seem, to some, a state of chaos.
But the only order that would disappear is the old rigid order. The old structures. The old pinched needs based on acceptance of gross limitation…
All that would go.
Likewise, we would see the disappearance of everything that has been externally imposed and labeled “inner feelings” …because we are much deeper and higher and wider than that, as it turns out.
We are not the sum of what we have been taught about “the greatest possible” feelings. Each one of us has his own flowing changing sense of what is “the highest and greatest.” His own unique sense.
And this would emerge, because at last we could communicate it to others who receive it spontaneously, just as we have sent it, in all its fullness.
The machine of reality would fracture. The obsessive consensus of lowest common denominators would corrode like old iron in a junkyard.
This elevated kind of language I’m describing here? As a painter, I’ve experienced glimpses of it. It’s not a pipe dream.
Around us, society is, in fact, devolving into a junkyard where people are arguing and fighting over scraps. But that doesn’t mean we have to.
We can, each one of us, tap into imagination, and express far different worlds. We can become what we are: artists who invent realities.

Amazing read, thank you mr. Rappoport. Mind blowning as usual.
After few minutes sitting here, mind blown, thinking deep I started writing some stuff on search engines etc and come up with an audio.
For anyone who cares to take time and listen, here’s something about the subject of “culture is a plot against the expansion of consciousness through limiting language”-
